I don't want to worry anyone with superstitions, or over-excite anyone who thinks they won something, but someone in the next day will count as the 13,000th visitor since records began...
You can see the page count by scrolling down the long link list on the right hand side of the page.

As if it matters...
I always imagine our visitors as passing through - so rarely bother to explain the goings-on around here.
For 3 years we ran this blog as a semi-official students' site, linked to the Maybe Logic Academy, and supplementing the quarterly magazine output.
In the recent rebuild of the campus we got invited to move inside. So now we have a blog incorporated into the campus with (confusingly to some) the same name. It doesn't yet have a lot of bells and whistles, whereas this one seems like a coral-reef encrusted with useful or interesting links so I tend to drop back here, and can't quite abandon ship just yet.
Do I explain, or leave you to explore?
Markoff Chaney (for instance) remains a very subversive character in RAWilson's books (most notably Illuminatus!) who puts up vaguely insulting or threatening notices in public places and private offices, apparently signed by the Management (The Mgt) but really from MC himself (the midget).
Does that spoil or illuminate the joke?
Hey, these Blogger Labels work real nice!
I just tried The Mgt, and got a blog cut including RAW, PKD, Bob Dobbs, Bob Dylan and Ken Campbell, and all sorts. "Nostalgia isn't what it used to be", to quote Peter de Vries (who may never have even heard of E-Prime)...
(Note: you'll need your red-green 3-D glasses for October 14th)
Maybe this blog will just float now, become self-rererential and more complex...

Animated Wall Art
We nearly abandoned this site, but I just have to share this!
I haven't said "Far Fucking Out!" for a long time, but this really deserves the expletive - if you have about seven minutes...
More on this, here... Thanks Blu!
And thanks to Julie, who woke me up to it!

Maybe the Last Post
From now on, we hope that OM updates will continue, but within the campus site, and (hopefully) become a more democratic affair - used by more students.
We did start off as a collaborative group project here, nearly 3 years ago, but contributions slowly dwindled to become more or less dominated by offerings from me and Bobby.
I feel very proud of what we (and The Third Mind) constructed, and want to leave this Blogger version online as an archive, because we have a complex collections of links (see the right hand column) and a dense set of offerings (see the Imperfect Index) which the neonate Mojoblog simply couldn't handle as an Import right now.
But I accept the inevitable, and assume the time for change has arrived. I intend to use the OM website as my own personal way to compile, edit, point to, sift, play with the stuff we already have made, and generally goof-off from trying to stay topical. I might even finally sit down and write that damned book.
My Work Here Is Done.
Over and Out.
Amor et Hilaritas.

In the blink of an eye
For those who don't know about the changes going on at the Academy, a new campus has gone into place, and it intends to incorporate all the peripheral Maybe Logic enterprises (the collaborative writing Wiki, the Illuminatus! Wiki and even this blog).
You can now see Only Maybe available for reading on the campus - on a click through - but we certainly will leave this version up on Blogger as an archive - it has the top Google hit for 'Only Maybe' apart from anything else, so I don't have to think about the URL or explain anything to anyone...about how to find us.
I don't wish to appear a technophobe about it, but I like it here, too. This means that OM may appear a little schizoid for a while (if we didn't strike you that way before!)
Hard Copy
Another rumour (rumor) flying around involves creating a hard copy edition of some of the Maybe Quarterly contributions. This idea has bounced around like a beach volley ball (or even a beach volleyball player!) since we first published the online version, but it seems a little more likely this time. More on this in the future.
