I assumed that St Tape had a nickname to do with 'a little pump' - pompette - because my French leaves much to my imagination.
More likely - after checking - this word gets used as a euphemism for feeling slightly, giggly, drunk - tipsy,'fuddled' (as in Elmer Fuddled, I guess)...
